Weekend Review

Friday: We had a show at DTB&G. Patrick Aaron had a last minute cancellation, Mike Turnini took his place though. 17 year old singer songwriter out of Shiner Texas. He was a great start to the night. In addition Apples For Eyes, a side project for punk rock pioneer Scott Free, also played. After seeing Scott play in his projects for years, it was refreshing to hear something fresh in a while. After Scott played our good friend Mathias Issasi had a set. All in all, a great night. Since we started this band, we’ve played with a lot of singer songwriters, you can always tell the ones who really mean it.   Saturday: Sat was the K-Bar-B-Q hosted by our local Rock radio station, 100.9. OMBG had a booth there where we gave away free Swag and talked up our podcast. The response from the public about our little podcast was great, and we even ran out of Koozies. I was also a judge and got to take part in judging the Chicken, beans and brisket categories. Free food? Best scam ever haha. After the judging, we scored an interview with Return To Cinder which was great because we have been wanting one with them since we started.
