Assassins Creed

Assassin’s Creed News

Hey guys, got some news today concerning Assassin’s Creed.

First of all, some stuff in regards to the upcoming DLC, “The Tyranny of King Washington.”

As you may know, “The Tyranny of King Washington” takes us into an alternate reality in which George Washington, the hero of the American Revolution, has become the evil king of America, and the only one who can stop him is a Mohawk by the name of Ratonhnhake:ton. (I’m just gonna call him Connor).

Here’s the reveal trailer that was released at this past years Video Game Awards.

And this next trailer showcases the new Connor.

By the looks of it, the reality that this story takes place in will portray Connor as if he never interacted with General Washington during the war an played no part in his victory over the British. But we will see. “The Tyranny of King Washington” will be available to download February 19th.

Now, in other Assassin’s Creed news. Ubisoft has stated that the next installment in the franchise is in development and is set to release within the next fiscal year. Along with that, Ubisoft also announced that the new title will feature and new Assassin, a new setting, and a new time period.

On one side, I’m a little bummed that Connor is getting the Altair treatment and getting one exclusive game in the series. But at the same time, I’m excited to see where the franchise is going. Early rumors are that the next installment will take place in ancient China, which will be pretty cool, but we will just have to wait and see.

That’s all I’ve got for now. Laters!

Video Game Stuff!!

What up?!?! Here’s what’s going on.

Well, Assassin’s Creed 3 is OUT!!! So go pick up a copy. As I am typing this, I have not been able to pick up a copy. But that’s a whole other thing. So last week I gave you the UK Launch trailer for the game. This week I have the US launch trailer! Which rules!!

Oh man is that gorgeous! Seriously, go get this game!

Alright. Halo news. We are officially less than a week away from the release of Halo 4! I talked about this on this weeks episode, and here it is if you haven’t seen it yet: Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Episode 4!! Now with live action Master Chief!

http://youtu.be/FZ_xn889cSk

Love it!

Now, as you may or may not have heard(lets face it, if you listen to our show, you’ve heard), Disney has bought Lucasfilms, and all the properties associated with it, including Lucasarts. So yeah, Disney will be making Star Wars now. We’ll se what happens there. Now, some of you gamers out there might be wondering now what the future of Star Wars 1313 will be. Well, don’t worry, the development of 1313 will not be affected by Disney’s latest purchase.

Finally, for those who have not heard, we are having a contest! Here’s your chance to win a copy of Red vs Blue Season 10 on Blu Ray!! Here’s all you have to do!

Send a tweet of your favorite Red vs Blue line to @oldmanbittergal, include the hashtag, #ombgcontest with your tweet….AND THAT’S IT!! It’s easy!

That’s it for now! Later!

Video Game News and an Added Bonus!!

Well guys, we are a week away from Assassin’s Creed 3, and I’m very excited! All of the trailers and behind the scenes videos have been leading up to this, and I’ve got a couple more videos to tide us over until next Tuesday.

First of all, I’ve got a fan film made by a group called Corridor Digital, inspired by the Assassin’s Creed 3 trailer. It’s very well made. Check it out!

The ending was kinda cheesy, I know, but the actor they got to play Connor really got his moves down well.

Next, I’ve got the launch trailer for AC3. Check it!

Next, I’ve got the opening cinematic for the game, which gives us a refresher course of Desmond’s journey for those who haven’t played any of the previous titles. Check it out!

Finally I have a television commercial for the game that features Connor writing the Declaration of Independence while taking down some Red Coats and Templars. Pretty cool stuff. Here it is!

That’s it for Assassin’s Creed. Now we move on to Halo 4! As you know, we are a mere two weeks away from the release of Halo 4! For those who haven’t seen the launch trailer, entitled “Scanned,” or the latest episode of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, check out the blog I posted last Friday!

Now, a new trailer has been released for Bioshock: Infinite! Not only does it give a little bit of insight into the story, but we also have a release date! Check it out here!

Very cool. Bioshock has always been a franchise that has intrigued me. And Infinite is looking to be no exception to that. City in the sky? I mean come on!

Lastly, as I said in the title, there’s gonna be an added bonus to this weeks video game news. And it has nothing to do with video games.

Well, the first official trailer for Iron Man 3 has been released!! AND IT’S AWESOME!!!! Check! This! Out!

Awesome! I really can’t wait to see how they are going to bring the Extremis story to life and still make it grounded in reality. Does it seem a little Dark Knight Rises-ish? Yes. But overall, Iron Man 3 looks pretty intense.

Anyway, that’s it for now. Later!

Video Game News!! YAAAAYYY!!

Sup guys? Here’s what we got this week in video game land!

First, another trailer for Assassin’s Creed 3. This time, we get a little history lesson about the famous Boston Tea Party. And apparently, our protagonist, Connor, plays part in the first form of defiance from the Colonist to King George in dumping the outrageously taxed tea into the Boston Harbor. Check out the trailer below.

In other Assassin’s Creed news, Ubisoft has announced that they will be releasing an Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Trilogy. Which is exactly what it sounds like. There will be a collection of AC games that will be the Ezio Trilogy, so it will include: Assassin’s Creed 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations. The only thing is, it’s only going to be released for the Playstation 3. I’m a little irritated by that. I already own the Ezio Trilogy myself, but for those who don’t and are 360 gamers like myself, that’s a bit of a jip. But what can you do? The Ezio Trilogy will be released for the PS3 on November 13th.

BioWare has also jumped on board with releasing collections of their successful franchises. They have just announced that they will be releasing a Mass Effect Collection. Which will include Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3. This will mark the first time that the first Mass Effect being available to play on the PC and PS3. But while the PC and 360 versions of the trilogy will be released on November 6th, the PS3 versions has yet to be given a release date.

Finally, in Halo 4 news, the Flood will be making a return in Halo 4. As of right now, not in the campaign, but in a multiplayer type. There will be a new multiplayer game in Halo 4 simply called, The Flood. So we will see what happens there. That’s pretty exciting if you ask me.

Well, thats all for now. See ya next time!

This Week’s Video Game News!

Hey guys, there may be some cool stuff with games out there. But lets face it. None of that matters with Assassin’s Creed 3 and Halo 4 on the way. There’s no need to even look at other games.

With that said, Borderlands 2 is out. I know last week I said that it came out….but I was wrong. SO SUE ME!! Well, Borderlands 2 is in fact out today. For those of you who enjoyed the first installment, go out and get the sequel.

Now, on to cooler video game news. Like I said on this weeks episode, the Wii U has a release date and price points. Listen to this weeks episode to find all of that out.

Your Weekly Video Game News Roundup!

Sup guys? Got a little bit of news for you this week. So lets get to it!

Well, first of all, last week I forgot to post a very cool Making of Halo 4 video that was released on the Halo Waypoint app on the XBox Live Marketplace. So here it is!

Oh man! Did anyone else get goosebumps watching that? It’s so cool seeing the people behind the voices like Jenn Taylor and Steve Downes. And seeing the motion capture actors for the cinematics. I so cannot wait for Halo 4!

Well, in other news. Another game I’m very much looking forward is Assassin’s Creed 3! Well, with a preorder from Gamestop, you will get for free a new single player mission called, “The Lost Mayan Ruins” in which Conner explores Mexico in search of Captain Kidd’s prized weapon, The Saw Toothed Sword. And heres a little teaser trailer for it.

Finally, Borderlands 2 comes out today! If you were a fan of the first one, go out and get the sequel.

Well, that does it for this week. See ya next time!

New Assassin’s Creed 3 Trailer Showcases Naval Warfare

What’s up guys? I know it’s been a while. Did you miss me? No? Damn.

Anyway. Here’s a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed 3 that features the new Naval warfare aspect of the game. This is the first time in the AC franchise that you will be able to take part in this type of battle. And with Ubisoft developing it’s new AnvilNext game engine specifically for Assassin’s Creed 3, it’s looking to be a pretty cool new addition to what looks to be an incredible game. Check it out for yourself!

New Assassin’s Creed 3 Trailer Shows off New AnvilNext Game Engine

Sup guys?

Got a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed 3 for ya! This new trailer shows off and explains Ubisoft’s new game engine they built specifically for Assassin’s Creed 3 and Conner himself. A game engine they are calling, “AnvilNext.” Check it out for yourselves!

Pretty cool stuff. 2,000 characters on screen at one time. 1,000 movements meant specifically for Conner. And we got to see Conner without his hood on. The AnvilNext game engine is looking to be pretty damn cool. What do you guys think? Let me know!

Michael Fassbender to Produce and Star in Assassin’s Creed Movie

Hey guys,

It’s been reported that Prometheus and X-Men: First Class star Michael Fassbender has signed on to co-produce and star in an upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie.

For those who may not know, last year Ubisoft started up Ubisoft Motion Pictures as a way to get their game franchises on both the big and small screens. Now we know that there will be a movie on the way and that we have a great actor in Fassbender to portray the protagonist.

Now here’s the question. Who will Fassbender play? Altair? Ezio? Or will they create a different story line for the movie and have Fassbender play someone else? Will he play Desmond as well as the Assassin? We won’t really know until details of the movie begin to surface.

I think Michael Fassbender is a great actor for the job. He was incredible as Magneto in X-Men: First Class, and is a red hot actor right now. My only concern is that he is a little old to play someone like Desmond. Which would make me believe that they could use a different story for the movie. But we will see.

What do you think about Michael Fassbender signing on to produce and star in an Assassin’s Creed movie? Let me know!!

Star Wars 1313:

And last, but certainly not least, Halo 4!

Here’s what kicked off Microsoft’s E3 press conference, a live action Halo 4 trailer that goes into a campaign game demo!!
